Gorgeous Wedding Dress!

As I looked through different wedding dresses today I found this one....isn't it gorgeous? I must say that this is, by far, my favorite wedding dress ever! This gown is from Totally Modest's Wedding Gown Collection 2. Style: Nita. Link

I love the long train on this dress! I also love how the buttons go all the way down the back of this dress...I think it makes it look very elegant!

Ways to Save on Your Wedding Part 1

Here are some ways to save on your wedding gowns!

1. At Bridal Salons Shop the Sales

Bridal Shops will offer more service, which is excellent when choosing a wedding gown. When you go to a full-service salon, they typically offer one on one attention. That way they can help the you when you are trying on gowns, coordinating the accessories, and headpieces. A lot of salons will also offer the one-stop-shopping where you can buy jewelry, accessories, shoes, hose, makeup, and the bridesmaids outfits. It can save you a lot of time and money by not running around to different stores.
Bridal Salons sometimes charges top dollar. The sales staff in numerous salons work on commission. That means it elevates the price and often means there will be more sales pressure to buy an item. You don't want to fall prey when a salesperson thinks everything looks gorgeous on you. Bring a friend to help get judgment.

2. Warehouse Outlets

Warehouse and off-price outlets are cheaper than any full service bridal salons (but the shopper is practically on her own). With no special ordering that you have to do, the gowns are simply sold off the rack. Once the bride (or you) picks out her dress, she can take the dress home with her that day.
The warehouse chains slashes prices because they keep lean sales staffs, don't have much service, and sometimes buys the gowns in bulk. Or they purchase designer samples or buy the past season styles. A few specialize in the "designer look" gowns that mimic current styles but are not created out of expensive fabrics and trims.
You have to pay in full at the time of purchase. Make sure you check the exchange-and-return policy. If you are purchasing a sample gown or even a discontinued one, look over the gown carefully for any signs of stains and damage.

3. Have Your Gown Made

You can even have your gown made. Buy a pattern and make the gown yourself, or have a talented friend or a professional sewer to do the work for you.

4. Visit a Vintage Clothing Store

If you really love antique clothes, then shop for your gown or tea-length dress in any vintage clothing store or antique shop. You might find a beautiful gown that has gorgeous laced and/or intricate beading for under a $100.
